Matthew Wayne Shepard (December 1, 1976- October 12, 1998) : Student at University of Wyoming. He was brutally beaten and then pronounced dead at the Pourde Valley Hospital in Colorado, due to severe head injuries.

February 12, 2008 Lawrence "Larry" King was shot by a classmate at E.O Green School in California. He was taken off life support after doctors declared him brain dead on February 15.

Ronnie Antonio Paris, January 28, 2005 an African American boy who was four died due to brain injuries because of severe abuse from his father who thought that his son would grow up to be gay.
November 2008
Duanna Johnson was beaten by police officers while she was in the Shelby County Court Criminal Justice in Tennessee. They reportedly called her a "faggot" and "he-she" before and during the incident. In November 2008, she was found gunned down in the street reportedly by three unkown individuals.
March 2001
Steen Fenrich was murdered, by his stepfather, in New York. A man walking through an Alley Pond Park in Bayside, Queens, found a big blue plastic tub. He opened it only to find Steen's dismembered remains in acid in March 2001, with the phrase "nigger number one" scrawled on his skull along with his social security number.
October 27, 1992
On October 27, 1992 US Navy Petty Officer Allen Schindler got stomped to death in a public restroom by a shipmate because he complained about anti-gay harrassment aboard the ship.
June 5, 2004
On June 5, 2004 Jamaican gay rights activist Brian Williamson was murdered in Kingston by Dwight Hayden who stabbed and chopped him 70times with a machete (recieved life sentence).
